A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF BARRON & ECKHART
ENGINEERING CONTRACTORS IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT
NO. 483 OF THE CITY OF VERNON

5 I WHEREAS, BARRON & ECKHART ENGINEERING CONTRACTORS was awarded the
6 I contract for work on install ing gas ma.in in 50th Street, pursuant to Contract
I
7 No. 483 of the City of Vernon; and
8
WHEREAS, Lewis R. Adams, Director of Water & Power, has reported
9 to the City Council of the City of Vernon on January 26, 1988, that said work
10 Ihas been completed and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be made
11 to the Contractor in accordance with the agreement.

NO~J, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is Two Hundred Forty-Three
17 Thousand Six Hundred Forty Eight Dollars ($243,648.00). That there is now due to
18 the Contractor a final partial payment total ing Fourteen Thousand Three Hundred
19 Dollar.s ($14,300.00), which should be paid at this time, and the remaining ten
20 percent (10%) of the total contract amount, or the sum of Twenty-Four Thousand
21 Three Hundred Sixty-Four And Eighty Cents ($24,364.80) is payable thirty-five
22 days after the adoption of this resolution and the City Council of the City of
23 Vernon hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to Barron & Eckhart
24 Engineering Contractors and instructs the' City Clerk to file a notice of
25 completion with the County Recorder.

2 to the passage ofthi s reso lut i on and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be
3 in full force and effect.
