RESOLUTION NO. 5471
A RESOLUTION OF 'l'HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 490 ~~D
AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR TRAFFIC PAVEMENT STRIPING 1988,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 490 OF THE
CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City
Council of the City of Vernon Contract No. 490 for Traffic
Pavement Striping 1988, in accordance with Contract No. 490
of the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, the City Counci 1 of the City of Vernon
has determined that it is in the best interests of the
City of Vernon that said contract be awarded in accordance
with applicab1e state law.
SECTION 1: Contract No. 490 is hereby approved
by the City Council of the Ci ty of Vernon.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
is hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall
of the City of Vernon a copy of said Contract No. 490.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
is hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting
sealed proposals or bids for Traffic Pavement Striping 1988,
in accordance with Contract No. 490 and in accordance with
this resolution.
SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of genera 1
circulation printed, published or circulated in ~he.City
of Vernon,theCi'ty Clerk is hereby directed to post

said notice, or cause the same to be posted, in three of
the most public places in the City of Vernon, to wit; the
northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, the
northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard,
and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the City Hal1
of the City of Vernon, 10cated at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue,
in said Cit,y.
SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
is hereby directed to post said notice forthWithand..tbe
first posting of said notice 5hal1 not be less than ten
(10): days before the opening of the bids for the prQposed
contract. Said notice shall provide that sealed proposals
or bids wil1 be received by the City of Vernon at the office
of the City Clerk of the City, at City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe
Avenue, Vernon, CA 90058-0805, until the hour of 2:00.p.m.
on the 1st day of March, 1988, and in accordance with Contract
No. 490 approved by said City.
SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shal1 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shal1 be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AID ADOPTED this 16th day of February, 1988.
