RESOLUTION NO. 5478
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING APPENDIX NO. 1 OF RESOLUTION
NO. 4733, AS AMENDED BY RESOLUTION NO. 5255,
WHICH ADOPTED CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODES THAT
INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE THE STANDARD MODEL
CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE OF THE FAIR POLITICAL
PRACTICES COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon adopted
Resolution No. 4733 on June 17, 1980, which adopted Conflict of
Commission: and
Interest Codes that incorporated by reference the standard model
Conflict of Interest Code of the Fair Poli tical Practices
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon adopted
Resolution No. 5255 on March 18, 1986, which amended certain sec-
tions of Resolution No. 4733: and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes
to update Appendix No.1.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That Appendix No. 1 of Resolution No. 4733,
as amended by Resolution No. 5255, shall be amended as set forth
in the Appendix No. 1 which is attached hereto and made apart
hereof as though fUlly set forth at length.
SECTION 2: That in all other respects, Resolution Nos.
4733 and 5255 shall remain in full ,force and effect and that
provisions in Resolution Nos. 4733 and 5255 not consistent. with
or in conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk. of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and
1 thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full foreeandef-
2 feet ·
3 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of March, 1988.

.With respect to Consultants, the Depa~tment Head may deter-
mine, in writing, that a particular Consultant is hired to per-
form a range of duties that are limited in scope and thus is not
required to comply with the disclosure requirements described in
these categories. Such determinationshall include a description
of the Consultant I s duties and, based upon that description, a
statement of the extent of disclosure requirements. The Depart-
ment Head shall forward a copy of this determination to the City
Council. Nothing contained herein excuses any such Consultant
from any other provision of this Conflict of Interest Code.
