RESOLUTION NO. 5488
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING EXHIBIT "All, SCHEDULE II, PAGE
8 OF RESOLUTION NO. 5405 WHICH FIXED THE
COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID
CITY AND AUTHORIZED CERTAIN EXPENSE ALLOWANCES
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5405 was adopted by the City
Council of the City of Vernon on June 30, 1987, to be effective
on July 1, 1987: and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5405 was previously amended by

(adopted on October 20, 1987), 5439 (adopted on November 3,
1987), and 5444 (adopted on November 17, 1987): and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes
to create the position of Energy Conservation Specialist in the
Light and Power Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2:
Resolution No. 5405 shall be amended to create the following
position with the followin~ salary scale for said position:

SECTION 3: That in all other respects, Resolution Nos.
5405, as amended by Resolution Nos. 5425, 5436, 5439 and 5444,
shall remain in ful1 force and effect and the provisions con-
tained in Resolution Nos. 5405, 5425, 5436, 5439 and 5444 not
consistent with or in conflict with this resolution are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and ef-
feet.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of February, 1988.
