RESOLUTION NO. 5486

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF
MACCO CONSTRUCTORS IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 475 OF THE CITY OF VERNON

5 WHEREAS, MACCO CONSTRUCTORS was awarded the contract
6 for work on installing 8" l^later Main in Alley, pursuant to
7 Contract No. 475 of the City of Vernon; and
8 WHEREAS, Lewis R. Adams, Director of Water & Power,
9 has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon on
10 March 1, 1988, that said work has been completed and recommends
11 that the work be accepted and payment be made to the Contractor
12 in accordance with the agreement.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
14 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the work of Macco Constructors,
16 pursuant to Contract No. 475 is hereby approved by the City
17 of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is
19 One Hundred Fourteen Thousand Five Hundred Seventy Five Dollars
20 ($114,575.00). That there is now due to the Contractor a
21 final partial payment totaling Eight Thousand Eight Hundred
22 Dollars ($8,800.00), which should be paid at this time, and the
23 remaining ten percent (l0%) of the total contract amount, or
24 the sum of Eleven Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Seven and Fifty
25 Cents is payable thirty-five days after the adoption of this
26 resolution and the City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
27 directs payment of said sums as set forth to MACCO
28 CONSTRUCTORS and instructs the City Clerk to file a notice of
1 completion with the County Recorder.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
3 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon
4 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
5 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of March, 1988.
