RESOLUTION NO. 5494
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR THE
MEMSERS OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon by Or-
dinance No. 965 on September 16, 1986, declared :itself to be the
Redevelopment Agency of the City of Vernon pursuant to Section
33200 of the 'Heal thand Safety Code of the State of California:
and,
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the, City of Vernon
intends to begin holding meetings starting April, 1988: and
WHEREAS, Section 33114 of the Health and Safety Code of
the State of California provides that the legislative body of a
city may prescribe compensation for the members of the City
. Redevelopment 'Agency: and
WHEREAS, Section 33114.5 of the Health and Safety Code
of the State of California limits such compensation to $30.00 per
meeting for a maxim~ of four meetings per month when the leg:is-
lative body acts as the Redevelopment Agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
hereinabove ate true and correct.
SECTION. 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby prescribes, pursuant to Sections 33114 and 33114.5 of the
Health and Safety Code of the State of California, compensation

for each member of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Vernon
in the amount .of $30.00 for each meeting of said Agency, but not.
to exceed four. meetings per month.
SECTION 3:
That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify .to the p~ssage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of March, 1988.
