A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A CONSULTING AGREEMENT BY AND
BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON AND AGAJANIAN &
ASSOCIATES FOR THE UNDERTAKING OF A HOUSING
STUDY
WHEREAS, after reviewing Vernon I s proposed updated
7 General Plan Housing Element, the California Department of Hous-
8 ing and Community Development has indicated that additional
9 studies are required to determine the adequacy of the Housing
10 Element: and

WHEREAS, Agajanian & Associates has been providing
12 professional land development economic, planning and management
13 consulting services to public and private clients throughout the
14 Southern California region since February 1987: and
15 WHEREAS, the City of Vernon and Agajanian & Associates
16 desire to enter into an agreement whereby Agajanian & Associates
17 would undertake a Housing Study to assist the City of Vernon in
18 completing their updated Housing Element of the General Plan.
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
20 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
22 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
23 hereinabove are true and correct.
24 SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
25 hereby approves the Consul ting Agreement, a copy of which has
26 been presented to the City Council concurrently with this resolu-
27 tion and the City Council hereby orders said Agreement to be
28
1 received and filed by the City Clerk.

SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
3 hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said
4 Agreement for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of May, 1988.
