A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF YERNON REAPPOINTING HILARIO GONZALES AND
WILLIAM J. DAVIS TO SERVE AS TRUSTEES ON THE
BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 18910 of the Education Code
and Section 2.34 of the Vernon City Code, Trustees serving on the

Board of Library Trustees shall be appointed by the Mayor by and

with the consent of the City Council: and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5113 adopted by the
City Council of the City of Vernon on June 5, 1984, the terms of
Hilario Gonzales and William J. Davis serving on the Board of
Library Trustees expired on June 30, 1987: and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, and the City Council of the City of
Vernon intend to ratify the reappointment of Hilario Gonzales and
William J. Davis to the Board of Library Trustees for the period
between July 1, 1987 and May 17, 1988: and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Council of the City of
Vernon intend to reappoint Hilario Gonzales and William J. Davis
to serve on the Board of Library Trustees for. the remaining two
(2) years of their three (3) year term.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the city of Vernon
hereby
finds and
determines that the rec~tals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: That Leonis C. Malburg, Mayor of the City of
Vernon, hereby ratifies and reappoints Hilario Gonzales and

1 Wil1iam J. Davis to serve as Trustees on the Board of Library
2 Trustees effective July l, 1987 through June 30, 1990, a full
3 three (3) year term.

SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
5 hereby approves and consents to Mayor Leonis C. Malburg' s reap-
6 pointment of Hilario Gonzales and William J. Davis to serve as
i Trustees on the Board of Library Trustees for a term of three (3)
8 years as hereinabove recited.

SECTION 4: . The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
10 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
11 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
12 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of May, 1988.
