A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK
OF VERNON PAVING COMPANY, IN ACCORDANCE
WITH CONTRACT NO. 489 .OF THE CITY OF
VERNON
WHEREAS, Vernan Paving Campany was awarded the cantract
and Exchange AVenue. improvements, pursuant to. Contract No. 489 af
the City of Vernon;
and
9 WHEREAS, Victor H. VeH ts, Directar of Cammuni ty Services,
10 has reparted. to. . theCi ty Council af the City of Vernon an September
11 8i, 1988 ,that s.i.j.d wark .has been campleted and recommends that the
12 wark be accepteda.nd payment be made to. the Contractar in accordan
13 ith the agreement.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
15 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
16 SECTION!: That the wark of Bonnie Beach, Indiana, Alcoa,
17 37th Street, Maywaodand Exchange Avenues, pursuant to. Contract NO..
18 489 Is herebyappravedby the City of Vernon.
19 SECTION 2: That the total cantract amount is Three
20 Hundred Thirteen Thousand-Five Hundred Fifteen Dollars and Twenty
21 Two. Cents ($313,515.22). That there is naw due to. the Cantractar
22 a final partial payment totaling One Hundred Seventy Six Thousand-
23 six Hundred Faurteen Dollars and Forty Two. Cents C$176,614.42),
24 which shOuld be paid at this time, and the remaining ten percent
25 (10%) af the total cantract amount, or the sum af Thirty-One
26 Thousand Three Hundred Fifty-One Dollars and Fifty Two Cents
27 ($31,351.52) is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoptian
28 oithis resolution and the City Council of the City of Vernan

1 ereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to Vernon Paving
2 ompaIlY a.nd instructs the city Clerk to fIle a notice ofcompletio
31th the County Recorder.
4 SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernonshal
5 certify to.the passage of this resolution and thereupon and there-
6 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
7 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of September, 1988.
