RESOLUTION NO. 5554
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING "LOT LINE ADJUSTMENT"
REQUESTED BY SAM PERRICONE AND SEYMOUR OWENS
WHEREAS, SAM PERRICONE AND SEYMOUR OWENS, are the
owners of Parcels #1 and #2, located at 2850-2950 East Vernon
Avenue, and the parcels are adjacent parcels of land described
in the attached Exhibit "A" which is incorporated herein by
this reference as though fully set forth at length; and
WHEREAS, SAM PERRICONE AND SEYMOUR OWENS desire to
adjust the common boundary between both parcels as described in
the attached Exhibit "B" which is incorporated herein by this
reference as though fully set forth at length; and
WHEREAS, SAM PERRICONE AND SEYMOUR OWENS have applied
for a "Lot Line Adjustment" pursuant to Government Code Section
66412(d) (the Subdivision Map Act); and
WHEREAS, a building encroaches on the existing bound-
ary and the lot line adjustment will relocate the boundary line
between buildings so that the parcels may be sold separately;
and
WHEREAS, SAM PERRICONE AND SEYMOUR OWENS have
deposited with the Vernon Water and Power Department, Ten
Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for the installation of a new
water service and a refundable deposit of Five Thousand Dollars
($5,000.00) guaranteeing the installation of separate sewer,
electrical and fire services.
WHEREAS, Section 66412(d) of said act provides for
an exemption from the subdivision and parcel map requirements

(d) A lot line adjustment between two or more ex-
isting adjacent parcels, where the land taken
from one parcel is added to an adjacent parcel,
and where a greater number of parcels than
originally existed is not thereby created,
provided the lot line adjustment is approved by
the local agency, or advisory agency.
and
WHEREAS, said "Lot Line Adjustment" was referred to
Victor H. Vaits, Director of Community Services, who has recom-
mended that said "Lot Line Adjustment" be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of
Vernon hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: That the application filed by SEYMOUR
OWENS, dated August 24, 1988 for a "Lot Line Adjustment" for
the properties described in the attached Exhibit "A" with said
"Lot Line Adjustment" being described in the attached Exhibit
"B", with the appropriate deposit is hereby approved in accord-
ance with the recommendation of Victor H. Vaits, Director of
Community Services, with the following conditions:
1. Each proposed lot shall contain separate sewer
systems, water lines, electrical and fire services.
