RESOLUTION NO. 5569
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF STEINY AND
COMPANY, INC. IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 486
OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, STEINY AND COMPANY, INC. was awarded
the contract for work on Traffic Signal Installation, Santa Fe
Avenue and 28th Street, pursuant to Contract No. 486 of the
City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, Victor H. Vaits, Director of Community Serv-
ices, has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon on
November, 8, 1988, that said work has been completed and recom-
mends that the work be accepted and payment be made to the
Contractor in accordance with the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the work of STEINY AND COMPANY,
INC., pursuant to Contract No. 486 is hereby approved by the
City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is Fifty
Eight Thousand Four Hundred Eighty Four Dollars ($58,484.00),
That there is now due to the Contractor a final partial payment
totaling Five Hundred Twenty Six Dollars ($526.00), which
should be paid at this time, and the remaining ten percent
(10%) of the total contract amount, or the sum of Five Thousand
Eight Hundred Forty Eight Dollars ($5,848.00)is payable thirty-
five (35) days after the adoption of this resolution and the
City Council of the City of Vernon hereby directs payment of

1 said sums as set forth to STEINY AND COMPANY, INC. and in
2 structs the City Clerk to file a notice of completion with the
3 County Recorder.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
