RESOLUTION NO. 5575
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ESTABLISHING THE RATES FOR THE SALE
OF WATER IN THE CITY OF VERNON IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE VERNON CITY CODE AND REPEALING
RESOLUTION NO. 5458
WHEREAS, Vernon City Code Sections 25.1, 25.2, 25.3,
6 25.5, 25.46, 25.48 and 25.51 provide that the rates for the
7 sale of water in the City are to be set by resolution; and
8
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon
9 adopted Resolution No. 5458 on January 5, 1988 setting the
10 water rates effective for the regular billing of February,
11 1988; and
12
WHEREAS, Lewis R. Adams, the Director of Water, has
13 recommended by memo dated December 7, 1988, that the rates es-
14 tablished for water services be raised to reflect the increased
15 cost of providing said services and that the adjusted rates be-
16 come effective for regular billing for February, 1989; and
17 WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Vernon wishes
18 to establish new rates for the sale of water in the City of
19 Vernon in accordance with the Vernon city Code and to repeal
20 Resolution No. 5458.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
22 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1 :
The City council of the city of Vernon
24 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
25 hereinabove are true and correct.

1 SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
2 does hereby establish the rates for the sale of water in the
3 City of Vernon pursuant to Vernon City Code sections 25.1,
4 25.2, 25.3, 25.5, 25.46, 25.48 and 25.51 as follows:

12 (CMD) has been established by Vernon City Code
13 Section 25.49 and will be added to the water bill.

15 only.

23 SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon

SECTION 4: Effective January 31, 1989, Resolution No.
2 5458 is repealed.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
4 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
5 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of December, 1988.
