RESOLUTION NO. 5603
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AMENDING EXHIBIT "A", SCHEDULE II,
PAGE 9 OF RESOLUTION NO. 5531, WHICH FIXED
THE COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF
SAID CITY AND AUTHORIZED CERTAIN EXPENSE
ALLOWANCES
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5531 was adopted by the City
Council of the city of Vernon on June 30, 1988, to be effective

on July 1, 1988; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5531 was previously amended by
Resolution Nos. 5546 (adopted August 23, 1988), 5555 (adopted
September 20, 1988), 5564 (adopted November 8, 1988), 5576
(adopted December 13, 1988) and 5599 (adopted February 7, 1989);
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes
to establish the position of Power Plant Superintendent in the
Light and Power Department with the appropriate salary scale.
NOW ,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
herein are true and correct.
SECTION' 2: That page 9 of Exhibit "A", Schedule II,
of Resolution No. 5531, is hereby amended to establish the posi-
tionof Power Plant Superintendent in the Light and Power
Department with the appropriate salary scale as indicated.on the
amended page i 9 of Exhibi t "A", Schedule II of Resolution No.
5531, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.

SECTION 3: That in all other respects Resolution No.
5531, as amended by Resolution Nos. 5546, 5555, 5564, and 5576,
shall remain in full force and effect and the provisions in
Resolution Nos. 5531, 5546, 5555, 5564, and 5576 not consistent
with or in conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and
p
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and ef-
fect.
