RESOLUTION NO. 5615
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF A CALIFORNIA-OREGON
TRANSMISSION PROJECT DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon, by
Resolution No. 5231 adopted on December 3, 1985, approved and
authorized the execution of a Project Development Agreement

effective September 30,
for the California-oregon
1985,
Transmission Project among various participants; and
WHEREAS, the participants desire to undertake certain
additional planning and preconstruct ion activities and are
wiling to permit the Transmission Agency of Northern California
(TANC) ,
the proj ect Manager,
and Western Area Power
Administration to undertake land acquisition and other
construction related activities until such time that a
Participation Agreement is executed; and
WHEREAS, the ci ty of Vernon's share of the increased
Project Development Work Budget is approximately F~fty six
Thousand Eight Hundred One Dollars ($56,801.00).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
24 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained

hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
27 hereby approves the Project Development Agreement Amendment
28 Number 2, a copy of which has been presented to the City

Council concurrently with this resolution and the City Council
hereby orders said Amendment Number 2 to be received and filed
by the City Clerk.
SECTION 3: The City council of the City of Vernon
hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said
Amendment Number 2 for, and on behalf of, the city of Vernon.
SECTION 4: The city Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and

thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of May, 1989.
