A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH AARON
D. CUSHMAN & ASSOCIATES OF CALIFORNIA,
INC., A PUBLIC RELATIONS CONSULTANT

WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to obtain the services
of a public relations consultant for the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, Director of Finance, by
7

letter dated August 2,
1989,
has recommended that the public
9

relations firm of Aaron D. Cushman and Associates of California,
Inc. ,
be retained as the public relations consultant for the
11
City of Vernon; and
12
WHEREAS, the City Council and Aaron D. Cushman and
13
Associates of Cal ifornia, Inc., desire to enter into an
14
agreement setting forth the terms and condi tions under which
15
said services are to be performed.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
17
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
19
finds
the
recitals
contained
hereby
determines
and
that
20
hereinabove are true and correct.
21
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
22
hereby approves the Agreement, a copy of which has been
23
presented to the City Council concurrently with this resol~tion
and the City Council hereby orders said Agreement to be received
24
25
26
and filed by the City Clerk.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the city of Vernon
27
hereby authorizes the Mayor and the city Clerk to execute said
28
Agreement for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and

thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
