A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY \ COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF TRAINING AGREEMENTS
BETWEEN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
DEPARTMENT OF CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL
("CHP") PROVIDING FOR PARTICIPATION IN
CERTAIN TRAINING PROGRAMS SPONSORED AND
ADMINISTERED BY THE CHP

WHEREAS, the CHP requires written training agreements

from any agency participating in training programs sponsored and

administered by the CHP; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department of the City of Vernon
10

desires from time to time to participate in certain training
12
programs sponsored and administered by the CHP.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
14
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The city Council of the city of Vernon
16
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
17
hereinabove are true and correct.
18
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby approves the sample Training Agreement, a copy of which
has been presented to the City Council concurrently with this
resolution and the City Council hereby orders said Agreement to
19

be received and filed by the City Clerk.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon
24
hereby authorizes the City AdministratorlCity Clerk to execute
25
26
said Agreement and subsequent Agreements for, and on behalf of,
the City of Vernon.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
3
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of November, 1989.
