RESOLUTION NO. 5703
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF
TRAFFIC OPERATIONS, INC. IN ACCORDANCE
WITH CONTRACT NO. 493 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
5 WHE.REAS, TRAFFIC OPERATIONS, INC. was awarded Con-
6 tract No. 493 for work on Traffic Pavement Striping - 1989,
7 pursuant to Resolution No. 5601 of the City of Vernon; and
8 WHEREAS, Victor H. Vaits, Director of Community
9 Services, has reported to the City Council of the City of
10 Vernon on January 9, 1990, that said work has been completed
11 and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be made
12 to the Contractor in accordance with the agreement.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
14 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
15 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
16 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
17 hereinabove are true and correct.
18 SECTION 2: The work of TRAFFIC OPERATIONS, INC.,
19 pursuant to Contract No. 493 is hereby approved by the City
20 of Vernon.
21 SECTION 3: The total contract amount is Twenty
22 Three Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-six Dollars Ninety-nine
23 Cents ($23,856.99), which includes Change Order No.1 for One
24 Thousand Twenty-nine Dollars Sixty Cents ($1,029.60) credit to
25 the City. There is now due to the Contractor a final partial
26 payment totaling Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-two Dol-
27 lars Ninety-eight Cents, ($12,552.98) which is payable at this
28 time.

SECTION 4: The City Council of the City of Vernon
2 hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to TRAFFIC
3 OPERATIONS, INC. and instructs the City Clerk to file a notice
4 of completion with the County Recorder.
5 SECTION 5: The city Clerk of the City of Vernon
6 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon
7 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
8 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of January,
9 1990.
