A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON COMMENDING LEWIS R. ADAMS
FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY
OF VERNON

WHEREAS, LEWIS R. ADAMS has been employed by the City
of Vernon since September 1, 1960; and

WHEREAS, said LEWIS R. ADAMS will retire from the
8
service of the city of Vernon on February 28, 1990; and
9
WHEREAS, LEWIS R. ADAMS is the Director of Water and
10
11
Power and has served as such since July 1, 1980, and is also the
Operations Manager of the Light and Power Department and has
12
13
served as such pursuant to Resolution No. 4803 adopted on May 5,
1981; and
14

WHEREAS, LEWIS R. ADAMS has faithfully served the City
of Vernon for approximately 29 1/2 years, and his loss will be
deeply felt by the City of Vernon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
takes this opportunity to commend LEWIS R. ADAMS for his years
of devoted service to the city of Vernon.
SECTION 2: The city Council of the City of Vernon

wishes LEWIS R. ADAMS continued success in whatever endeavors he

may undertake.

SECTION 3: The City Council of the city of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution and present a
certified copy thereof to LEWIS R. ADAMS and that thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
