A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AMENDING EXHIBIT "A",
SCHEDULE II, PAGES 9 AND 15, OF RESOLUTION
NO. 5641, WHICH FIXED THE COMPENSATION FOR
CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY AND
AUTHORIZED CERTAIN EXPENSE ALLOWANCES
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5641 was adopted by the City
7 Council of the City of Vernon on June 27, 1989, to be effective
8 on July 1, 1989; and
9
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5641 was previously amended by
10 Resolution Nos. 5661 (adopted on August 22, 1989), 5682 (adopted
II on October 17, 1989) and 5727 (adopted on March 6, 1990); and
12
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes
13 to establish the position of Assistant to the City Administrator
14 in the City AdministratorlCity Clerk Department with the
15 appropriate salary scale; and
16
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Vernon wishes
17 to establish the position of Power Resource Planner in the Light
18 and Power Department with the appropriate salary scale; and
19
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
20 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the city of Vernon
22 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
23 hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That page 15 of Exhibit "A", Schedule II,
25 of Resolution No. 5641, is hereby amended to establish the
26 position of Assistant to the City Administrator in the City
27 AdministratorlCity Clerk Department with the appropriate salary
28 scales as indicated on the corrected page 15 of Exhibit "A",

Schedule II, which is attached hereto as Attachment "A" and made

a part hereof.

SECTION 3: That page 9 of Exhibit "A", Schedule II, of
Resolution No. 5641, is hereby amended to establish the position
of Power Resource Planner in the Light and Power Department with
the appropriate salary scales as indicated on the amended page 9
of Exhibit "A", Schedule II, which is attached hereto as

Attachment "B" and made a part hereof.

SECTION 4:
That in all other respects Resolution No.
5641, as amended by Resolution Nos. 5661, 5682, and 5727 shall
remain in full force and effect and the provisions in Resolution
Nos. 5641, 5661, 5682 and 5727 not consistent with or in
conflict with this Resolution are hereby repealed.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
15
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
16
17
18
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of March, 1990.
