A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
NEW POLICE VEHICLES THROUGH THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES

WHEREAS, the State of California Department of General
6 Services through the State Office Procurement provides a
7 Cooperative Purchasing Program to purchase police vehicles at
8 reduced prices; and
9 WHEREAS, the CHP Class "E" Special Service Vehicle
10 (1991 Ford Crown victoria "s" four-door sedan) is available at a
II base price of $12,28S.00 for the standard vehicle, not including
12 taxes, less a discount of $1,200.00 each for paYment within 20
13 days of delivery with a net price of $11,08S.00 per vehicle; and
14
WHEREAS, the F inance Commit tee has approved the
15 purchase of three (3) of said vehicles in the 1989-90 fiscal
16 year; and
17
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
18 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of
19 Vernon that a purchase order be issued for the purchase of three
20 (3) new police vehicles through the State of California
21 Department of General Services.
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
23 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
25 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
26 hereinabove are true and correct.

hereby approves the issuance of a purchase order for the

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
