A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AMENDING SECTION 7 OF
RESOLUTION NO. 5641, WHICH FIXED THE
COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID
CITY AND AUTHORIZED CERTAIN EXPENSE
ALLOWANCES

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5641 was adopted by the City
7 Council of the City of Vernon on June 27, 1989, to be effective
8 on July 1, 1989; and
9 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5641 was previously amended by
10 Resolution Nos. 5661 (adopted on August 22, 1989), 5682 (adopted
11 on October 17, 1989), 5727 (adopted on March 6, 1990), 5735
12 (adopted on March 20, 1990) and 5740 (adopted on April 10,
13 1990); and
14 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes
15 to increase the amount that the City of Vernon will contribute
16 to the auto insurance program; and
17
WHEREAS, this increase shall not pertain to pOlice
18 officers and sergeants until such an increase is approved in a
19 Memorandum of Understanding between the Vernon Police Officers'
20 Benefit Asssociation and the Municipal Employees Relations
21 Representative of the City of Vernon;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
23 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the city of Vernon
25 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
26 hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: Section 7 of Resolution No. 5641 shall be
28 amended to read as follows:

SECTION 7 :
The City has established an
auto insurance program for all employees

wherein the City will contribute Twenty-

Five Dollars ($25.00) per month per
employee
for all employees who
participate in said program effective May
I, 1990.
As to police officers and
sergeants, City will continue to
contribute Twenty-Three Dollars and Four

Cents ($23.04) per month per employee for
all employees who participate in said
program.
SECTION 3:
That in all other respects Resolution No.
5641, as amended by Resolution Nos. 5661, 5682, 5727 and 5735
shall remain in full force and effect and the provisions in
Resolution Nos. 5641, 5661, 5682, 5727, 5735 and 5740 not
consistent with or in conflict with this Resolution are hereby
repealed.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the city of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

Council duly held on Tuesday, April 24, 1990, and thereafter
duly signed by the Mayor of the City of Vernon.
