RESOLUTION NO. 5744
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 502 AND
AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR THE REHABILITATION OF RESERVOIR 3-1
(AT FRUITLAND AVE., FIRE STATION NO.1) IN
ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 502 OF THE CITY
OF VERNON
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Vernon Contract No. 502 for rehabilitating
Reservoir 3-1
(Fruitland Ave., Fire Station No.1), in
accordance with Contract No. 502 of the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
determined that it is in the best interests of the City of
Vernon that said contract be awarded in accordance with
applicable State law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 :
Contract No. 502 is hereby approved by
the City Council of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the
City of Vernon a copy of said Contract No. 502.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed
proposals or bids for the rehabilitation of Reservoir 3-1
(Fruitland Ave., Fire Station No.1), in accordance with
Contract No. 502 and in accordance with this resolution.
SECTION 4:
There being no newspaper of general
circulation printed, published or circulated in the City of
Vernon, the City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice

1 or cause same to be posted, in three of the most public places
2 in the City of Vernon, to wit:
the northwest corner of 38th
3 Street and Santa Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis
4 Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in
5 the lobby of the City Hall of the City of Vernon, located at
6 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, in said City.

SECTION 5:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
8 hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first
9 posting of said notice shall not be less than ten (10) days
10 before the opening of the bids for the proposed contract. Said
11 notice shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be
12 received by the City of Vernon at the office of the City Clerk
13 of the City, at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon,
14 California 90058-0805, until the hour of 2: 00 p.m., Tuesday,
15 June 5, 1990, and in accordance with Contract No. 502 approved
16 by said City.
17 SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
18 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
19 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
20 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of May, 1990.

I, BRUCE V. MALKENHORST, City Clerk of the City of
Vernon, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution, being
Resolution No. 5744, was duly adopted by the City Council of
the City of Vernon at an adjourned regular meeting of the City
Council duly held on Tuesday, May 1, 1990 and thereafter duly
signed by the Mayor of the City of Vernon.
