RESOLUTION NO. 5748
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF
ADVANCE TANK & CONSTRUCTION COMPANY IN
ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 496 OF THE
CITY OF VERNON

WHEREAS, Advance
6 was awarded the contract for work on "Rehabilitation of

Reservoir 3-3", pursuant
to Contract No. 496 of the City
8 of Vernon; and
9
WHEREAS, Victor H. Vai ts, Director of Community
10 Services has reported to the City Council of the City of
11 Vernon on May 1, 1990, that said work has been completed
12 and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be made
13 to the Contractor in accordance with the agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
That the work of Advance Tank &
Construction Company, pursuant to Contract No. 496 is hereby
approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That the total contract amount is One
20 Hundred Thirty Seven Thousand Fifty Four Dollars and

Fifty-Nine Cents ($137,054.59).
That there is now due to
22 the Contractor a final partial payment totaling Fourteen
23 Thousand Five Hundred Thirty Five Dollars and No Cents
24 ($14,535.00), which should be paid at this time, and the
25 remaining ten percent (10%) of the total contract amount,
26 or the sum of Thirteen Thousand Seven Hundred Five Dollars
27 and Forty Six Cents ($13,705.46) is payable thirty-five days
28 after the adoption of this resolution and the City Council
of the City of Vernon hereby directs payment
1 directs payment of said sums as set forth to Advance Tank &
2 Construction Company and instructs the City Clerk to file a
3 notice of completion with the County Recorder.

SECTION 3:
That the City Clerk to the City of Vernon
5 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon
6 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
7 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of May, 1990.
