RESOLUTION NO. 5755
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING A "LOT LINE ADJUSTMENT"
REQUESTED BY THE ALUMINUM COMPANY OF AMERICA
AND THE BRADLEY S. COHEN FAMILY TRUST
WHEREAS, The Aluminum Company of America and the
6 Bradley S. Cohen Family Trust are the owners of two adjacent
7 parcels of land described and shown on the attached Exhibit
8 nA" consisting of three (3) pages which is incorporated herein
9 by this reference as though fully set forth at length; and
10 WHEREAS, The Aluminum Company of America and the
11 Bradley S. Cohen Family Trust desire to adjust the common
12 boundary between both parcels whereby said adjustment will
13 create two new properties as described and shown on the at-
14 tached Exhibit "B" consisting of four (4) pages which is in-
15 corporated herein by this reference as though fully set forth
16 at length; and
17 WHEREAS, The Aluminum Company of America and the
18 Bradley S. Cohen Family Trust have applied for a "Lot Line
19 Adjustment" pursuant to Section 66412(d) of the Subdivision
20 Map Act; and
21 WHEREAS, Section 66412(d) of said Act provides an
22 exemption from the Subdivision Map Act requirements as
23 follows:
24 "(d) A lot line adjustment between two or more

existing adjacent parcels, where the land
taken from one parcel is added to an adjacent
parcel, and where a greater number of parcels
than originally existed is not thereby

created, provided the lot line adjustment is
approved by the local agency, or advisory
agency...."

WHEREAS, said "Lot Line Adjustment" was referred to
6 Victor H. Vaits, Director of Community Services, who has
7 recommended that said "Lot Line Adjustment" be approved.
8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COONCIL
9 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
10 SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of
11 Vernon hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
12 hereinabove are true and correct.
13 SECTION 2: That the request for a "Lot Line Adjust-
14 ment" dated April 24, 1990, to adjust the common boundary from
15 the two existing properties being described in the attached
16 Exhibit "A" whereby said adjustment will create two new
17 properties as described in the attached Exhibit "B" is hereby
18 approved in accordance with the recommendation of Victor H.
19 Vaits, Director of Community Services.
20 SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
21 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon
22 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

Honorable Members:
The Aluminum Company of America and the Bradley S. Cohen Family Trust
are the owners of two adjoining parcels of land, located on the east
side of Boyle Avenue, between Fruitland Avenue and Slauson Avenue.
They have requested an adjustment of the boundary line between the
parcels which will result in a triangular shaped piece of property
being transferred to' the Cohen property. This has been reviewed by
the Director of Community Services and is in accordance with the
California Subdivision Map Act and the General Plan of the City, and
it is hereby requested that the Lot Line Adjustment be granted.

The Aluminum Company of America and the Bradley S. Cohen
Family Trust are the owners of two adjoining parcels of land, lo-
