A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON REAPPOINTING HILARIO
GONZALES AND WILLIAM J. DAVIS TO SERVE AS
TRUSTEES ON THE BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 18910 of the Education
6 Code and Section 2.34 of the Vernon City Code, Trustees serving
7 on the Board of Library Trustees shall be appointed by the Mayor
8 by and with the consent of the City council; and
9
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5515 adopted by the
10 City Council of the City of Vernon on May 17, 1988, the terms of
11 Hilario Gonzales and William J. Davis serving on the Board of
12 Library Trustees will expire on June 30, 1990; and
13
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the city Council of the City of
14 Vernon intend to reappoint Hilario Gonzales and William J. Davis
15 to the Board of Library Trustees for a term of three (3) years.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
17 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
19 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
20 hereinabove are true and correct.
21
SECTION 2: That Leonis C. Malburg, Mayor of the City
22 of Vernon, hereby reappoints Hilario Gonzales and William J.
23 Davis to serve as Trustees on the Board of Library Trustees
24 effective July 1, 1990 through June 30, 1993, a full three (3)
25 year term.

SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
27 hereby approves and consents to Mayor Leonis C. Malburg's
28 reappointment of Hilario Gonzales and William J. Davis to serve

as Trustees on the Board of Library Trustees for a term of three
(3) years as hereinabove recited.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of_ June, 1990.
