A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID
OF ADVANCE TANK AND CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY FOR THE REHABILITATION OF
RESERVOIR 3-1 (AT FIRE STATION NO.1)
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 502
OF THE CITY OF VERNON AND APPROVING
THE EXECUTION OF SAID CONTRACT
6 WHEREAS, Contract No. 502 of the City of Vernon was
7 approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon pursuant
8 to Resolution No. 5744, and sealed bids were opened on June
9 5, 19 9 0; and

WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Victor H. Vai ts,
11 Director of Community Services, who has reported to the City
12 Council under the date of June 19, 1990, recommending that the
13 contract for rehabilitation of Reservoir 3-1 (at Fire Station
14 No.1) be executed with Advance Tank & Construction Company
15 on the basis of its bid in the sum of One Hundred Seventy Eight
16 Thousand Three Hundred Sixty Seven Dollars and No Cents
17 ($178,367.00) being the lowest responsible bid meeting the
18 contract requirements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
20 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
21 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
22 does hereby award Contract No. 502 in accordance with the
23 recommendation of Victor H. Vai ts, Director of Communi ty
24 Services, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said Contract
25 on behalf of the City.

SECTION 2:
All other bids are rejected and the City
27 Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
28 any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon
1 the receipt of an executed contract from Advance Tank and
2 Construction Company accompanied by all required bonds and
3 certificates.

SECTION 3 :
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
5 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon
6 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
7 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of June, 1990.
