1 RESOLUTION NO. 5783
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON, APPROVING APPLICATIONS FOR STATE-LOCAL
3 TRANSPORTATION PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM FUNDS
4 WHEREAS, Streets and Highways Code Sections 2600 to
5 2602 established a state-funded State-Local Transportation
6 Partnership Program effective January 1, 1990, with a dead-
7 line of June 30, 1990, to file applications; and
8 WHEREAS, the Director of Community Services has pre-
9 pared applications for the resurfacing of the east roadway of
10 Alameda Street and Downey frontage road, and portions of the
11 west roadway of Alameda Street, 26th Street and Soto Street
12 in the City of Vernon; and
13 WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation
14 requires that the City Council adopt a resolution approving
15 the applications.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
17 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
18 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
19 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained here-
20 inabove are true and correct.
21 SECTION 2: The applications as presented concur-
22 rently herewith by the Director of Community Services are in
23 conformance with the City's capital improvement program.

SECTION 3: The applications submitted by the Direc-
tor of Community Services for State-Local Transportation
Partnership Program Funds are approved.
