RESOLUTION NO. 5825

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON REPEALING RESOLUTION NO.
5751 WHICH APPROVED AND AUTHORIZED THE
EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR GAS SERVICE BY
AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON AND THE
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA GAS COMPANY PROVIDING
FOR THE CITY'S PURCHASE OF GAS FROM OTHER
SUPPLIERS (PRIME ACCOUNT NUMBER 142-011)

WHEREAS,
the City Council of the City of Vernon

adopted Resolution No. 5751 on May 15, 1990, which approved and
8
authorized the execution of a Contract For Gas Service with
9

Southern California Gas Company; and
WHEREAS, by letter dated September 13, 1990, Bruce V.
Malkenhorst, the City Administrator/city Clerk, has recommended
that Resolution No. 5751 be rescinded because negotiations with
13
Mock Resources, Inc. and PSI, Inc. have been discontinued.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF

THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
18
hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
20
hereby repeals Resolution No. 5751.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
