1 RESOLUTION NO. 5829
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE
3 BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS
ANGELES TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO
4 THE CITY RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF A
SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON
5 TUESDAY, DECEMBER 11, 1990
6 WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election is to be held in
7 the City of Vernon, California, on December 11, 1990; and
8 WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of the election it is
9 necessary for the City to request services of the County; and
10
WHEREAS, all necessary expenses in performing these
11 services shall be paid by the City of Vernon.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
13 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
15 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
16 hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: Pursuant to the provisions of section 22003
18 of the Elections Code of the State of California, the city
19 Council requests the Board of Supervisors of the County to
20 permit the County Election Department to prepare and furnish to
21 the City for use in conducting the election the computer record
22 of the names and addresses of all eligible registered voters in
23 the City in order that the city may print labels to be attached
24
to self-mailer sample ballot pamphlets.
The County Election
25 Department will also furnish to the City printed indices of the
26 voters to be used by the precinct board at the polling place and
27 will make available to the City additional election equipment
28 and assistance according to state law.

SECTION 3:
The City shall reimburse the County for

services performed when the work is completed and upon
presentation to the City of a properly approved bill.

SECTION 4:
The City Clerk is directed to forward
5
without delay to the Board of Supervisors and to the County
Election Department each a certified copy of this resolution.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
8
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
9
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
