A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE
AGREEMENT FOR CONTRACTUAL SERVICES BY AND
BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON AND EDWARD E.
DUMON

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon
approved and authorized the execution of an Agreement for
7
Contractual Services with Edward E. Dumon by Resolution No. 5435
8
approved on October 20, 1987; and
9

WHEREAS, the City of Vernon and Edward E. Dumon desire
to amend Sections 2 and 8 of said Agreement (i) to increase the
11
12
amount of compensation and (ii) to extend the term of the
Agreement from October 27, 1990 through and including June 30,
13
14
1991.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
18
hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby approves the Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement For
Contractual Services, a copy of which has been presented to the
City Council concurrently with this resolution and the City
Council hereby orders said Amendment to be received and filed by

the City Clerk.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said
28
Amendment for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and

thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

AMENDMENT NO. ( 1 )
TO THE
AGREEMENT FOR CONTRACTUAL SERVICES
BY AND BETWEEN
THE CITY OF VERNON AND EDWARD'" E. DUMON
The City of Vernon (" city") and Edward E. Dumon
("Contractor") hereby amend the Agreement - for Contractual
Services dated October 20, 1987, to revise sections 2 and 8 to
read as follows:
2. COMPENSATION
CITY shall pay CONTRACTOR as

consideration for work
satisfactorily performed pursuant to this agreement at the
hourly rate of EIGHTY DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($80.00) per hour
payable on a monthly basis after submission of written invoice
at the authorized level not to exceed an average of 40 hours per
week with monthly billing submitted by CONTRACTOR and approved
by Director of Light and Power and the Chief Executive Officer
of the Light and Power Department.
8 . TERM
The work undertaken pursuant to this agreement shall
commence on october 27, 1990, and sha.ll terminate on June 30,
1991, unless terminated by either party pursuant to the terms of
Section 5 of the Agreement dated October 20, .. 1987 or unless an
amendment to this Agreement isotherwisei executed by the parties
hereto.
