A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON ACKNOWLEDGING THE
DESIGNATION OF THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION AS THE LOS
ANGELES CONGESTION MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
(CMP) AGENCY FOR LOS ANGELES COUNTY

WHEREAS, Government Code section 65089 requires the
7
development of a Congestion Management Program for Los Angeles
8
County which includes the County and every city in the County:
and

WHEREAS, Government Code section 65089 provides the
Congestion Management Plan shall be developed either by the
County Transportation Commission, or by another public agency,
as designated by resolutions adopted by
the County Board of
Supervisors and the City Councils of a majority of the cities
14
representing a majority of the population in the incorporated
15
16
17
area of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Transportation
Commission is the appropriate public agency in the County of Los
18
Angeles to be designated under the provisions of Government Code
19
section 65089; and
20

WHEREAS, by action taken at its July 25, 1990 meeting,
22
the Los Angeles County Transportation Commission supports its
designation as the Congestion Management Agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby acknowledges the designation of the Los Angeles County
Transportation Commission as the congestion Management Program
(CMP) Agency for Los Angeles County.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
