RESOLUTION NO. 5882
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF ARROW STRAIGHT
MARKING AND STRIPING SERVICE FOR TRAFFIC PAVEMENT
STRIPING 1991, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 506
OF THE CITY OF VERNON AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION
OF SAID CONTRACT
WHEREAS, Contract No. 506 of the city of Vernon was
approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon pursuant to
Resolution No. 5870, and sealed bids were opened on February
5, 1991; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to victor H. Vaits,
Director of Community Services, who has reported to the city
Council under the date of February 7, 1991, recommending that
Contract No. 506 for Traffic Pavement striping 1991 be ex-
ecuted with Arrow Straight Marking and Striping Service on the
basis of its bid in the sum of Twenty Three Thousand Two
Hundred Thirty-five Dollars Five Cents ($23,235.05), being the
lowest responsible bid meeting the contract requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award Contract No. 506 to Arrow Straight Marking
and Striping Service, in accordance with the recommendation of
Victor H. Vaits, Director of community Services, and
authorizes the Mayor to execute said Contract on behalf of the
City.

SECTION 3: All other bids are rejected subject to
execution of the contract and the City Treasurer is hereby
directed to return to unsuccessful bidders any cashier or cer-
tified checks deposited with said bids upon the receipt of an
executed contract from Arrow Straight Marking and striping
Service accompanied by all required bonds and certificates.
SE~ION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of February,
1991.
