A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
THREE (3) NEW POLICE VEHICLES FROM SOPP
CHEVROLET

6 WHEREAS, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, City Administrator/City
7 Clerk, has recommended to the Finance Committee of the City of
8 Vernon that three (3) new police vehicles be purchased from Sopp
9 Chevrolet for the total sum of Thirty-Eight Thousand Five
10 Hundred Thirty-Four and Ninety-One Cents ($38,534.91); and
11
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee on February 11, 1991,
12 authorized the purchase of said police vehicles in accordance
13 with the recommendation of Bruce V. Malkenhorst, City
14 Administrator/City Clerk; and
15
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
16 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of
17 Vernon that a purchase order be issued for the purchase of three
18 (3) new police vehicles from Sopp Chevrolet.
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
20 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
The City Council of the city of Vernon
22 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
23 hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
25 hereby approves the issuance of a purchase order for the
26 purchase of three (3) new police vehicles from Sopp Chevrolet.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and

thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
