Resolution No. 5905 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 ~ 1 RESOLUTION NO. 5905 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DESIGNATING MALBURG WAY AND A PORTION OF ALCOA AVENUE AS PUBLIC STREETS 4 5 6 7 WHEREAS, Trammell Crow Company submitted Parcel Map No. 19848 to the City of Vernon which was approved as a tentative parcel map by the City Council on August 23, 1988, the conditions of which map required Trammell Crow Company to improve and dedicate a certain public street named Malburg Way; 8 9 and WHEREAS, the City Council on February 19, 1991, accepted said street improvements and the deed for Malburg Way from Trammell Crow Company and approved Final Parcel Map No. 19848; and WHEREAS, Bethlehem Steel corporation on December 19, 1984, entered into City of Vernon Subdivision Improvement Agreement: Parcel Map 16480 which provided for the dedication and improvement of that portion of Alcoa Avenue south of Slauson Avenue to its junction with Malburg Way; and WHEREAS, the City Council on December 18, 1984, accepted Final Parcel Map 16480 which dedicated a portion of Alcoa Avenue south of Slauson Avenue; and WHEREAS, Bethlehem Steel Corporation constructed the public improvements for Alcoa Avenue, the performance bonds were released on April 1, 1991, and the Director of Community Services has accepted said improvements as complete; and 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 WHEREAS, MFC Realty deeded a portion of Malburg Way to the City of Vernon, which deed (Document No. 86-1281514 of Official Records) was accepted by the City Council on September 16, 1986; and ~ WHEREAS, the City of Los Angeles granted an easement and right-of-way for public street and highway purposes to the City of Vernon for that portion of Malburg Way which crosses the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power right-of-way in the City of Vernon, which deed (Document No. 88-1455338 of Official Records) was accepted by the City Council on August 5, 1988; and WHEREAS, Malburg Way and Alcoa Avenue south of Slauson Avenue need to be designated as public streets for the purpose of enforcing local and state highway regulations all as shown on Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby designates Malburg Way and Alcoa Avenue south of Slauson Avenue as public streets in the city of Vernon for the purpose of law enforcement as shown on Exhibit "A".
