RESOLUTION NO. 5923

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AMENDING APPENDIX NO. 1 OF
RESOLUTION NO. 4733, AS AMENDED BY
RESOLUTION NOS. 5255, 5478, 5505, AND
5853, WHICH ADOPTED A CONFLICT OF INTEREST
CODE THAT INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE THE
STANDARD MODEL CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE
OF THE FAIR POLITICAL PRACTICES COMMISSION

WHEREAS, the City council of the City of Vernon adopted
7
Resolution No. 4733 on June 17, 1980, which provided for a
Conflict of Interest Code that incorporated by reference the
standard model Conflict of Interest Code of the Fair Political
8
Practices Commi$sion; and
WHEREAS, the City council of the City of Vernon adopted
Resolution No. 5255 on March 18, 1986, Resolution No. 5478 on

March 15, 1988, Resolution No. 5505 on April 26, 1988, and
Resolution No. 5853 on November 20, 1990, which amended

Resolution No. 4733 including Appendix No. 1 thereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the ci ty of Vernon has
added andlor modified certain job titles and wishes to amend its
Conflict of Interest Code to reflect current positions for
designated employees required to report financial interests
under designated disclosure categories.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Appendix No. 1 of Resolution No. 4733, as
amended by Resolutions Nos. 5255, 5478, 5505 and 5853 shall be
amended as set forth in the Appendix No. 1 which is attached
hereto and made apart hereof as though fully set forth at

length.

In all other respects, Resolutions Nos.
SECTION 2:
2 4733, 5255, 5478, 5505 and 5853 shall remain in full force and
3 effect and the provisions in Resolutions Nos. 4733, 5255, 5478
4 5505 and 5853 not consistent with or in conflict wit this
5 resolution are hereby repealed.

SECTION 3: The city Clerk of the city of Vernon shall
7 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
8 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
9 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of May, 1991.

17 description, a statement of the extent of disclosure
18 requirements. The Department Head shall forward a copy of this
19 determination to the City Council. Nothing contained herein
20 excuses any such consultant from any other provision of this
21 Conflict of Interest Code.
