A RESOLUTION. OF u.THE_CITY ,COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON ESTABLISHING HEALTH PERMIT
FEES APPLICABLE TO GARMENT MANUFACTURING
ESTABLISHMENTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION
13.8 OF THE VERNON CITY CODE

WHEREAS, Section 13.8 of the Vernon City Code
6 authorizes the City Council to establish by resolution Health
7 Permi t Inspection Fees for the various types of businesses and
8 vehicles which require a Health Permit as specified in Section
9 13.7 of the Vernon City Code; and
lO WHEREAS, garment manufacturing establishments have been
II added to Section 13.7 of the Vernon City Code by Ordinance
l2 No. 996; and

WHEREAS, it now becomes necessary to establish Health
l4 Permit fees applicable to garment manufacturing establishments.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
16 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City council of the City of Vernon does
l8 hereby find and determine that the recitals hereinabove are true
19 and correct.

SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
2l hereby establish that the issuance fees and annual renewal fees
22 for permits granted by the City of Vernon for garment
23 manufacturing establishments pursuant to Section 13.8 of the
24 Vernon City Code shall be as follows:

SECTION 3: There shall be added and collected with the
permit or other fees a penalty equal to ten percent (10%) of the
fee for all fees that are delinquent for thirty (30) days. For

each additional month or fraction thereof in which a delinquency

occurs, an additional ten percent (10% ) penalty shall be

which may be required by other applicable ordinances or
resolutions of the ci ty of Vernon or applicable state law in

SECTION 5: The fees provided herein shall be effective
thirty (30) days after the City Council adopts Ordinance
No. 996.
SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
