RESOLUTION NO. 5931

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON REAPPOINTING LEONIS C.
MALBURG AND THOMAS A. YBARRA TO SERVE AS
TRUSTEES ON THE BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 18910 of the Education
Code and Section 2.34 of the Vernon City Code, Trustees serving
5

on the Board of Library Trustees shall be appointed by the Mayor
by and with the consent of the City council; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5522 adopted by the
8
City Council of the City of Vernon on June 7, 1988, the terms of
Leonis C. Malburg and Thomas A. Ybarra serving on the Board of
Library Trustees will expire on June 30, 1991; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Council of the City of
Vernon intend to reappoint Leonis C. Malburg and Thomas A.
Ybarra to the Board of Library Trustees for a term of three (3)
years.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF

THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the city Council of the City of Vernon

hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained

hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: That Leonis C. Malburg, Mayor of the city

of Vernon, hereby reappoints Leonis C. Malburg and Thomas A.
Ybarra to serve as Trustees on the Board of Library Trustees

effective July l, 1991 through June 30, 1994, a full three (3)

year term.

SECTION 3: That the city Council of the City of Vernon

hereby approves and consents to Mayor Leonis C. Malburg's
reappointment of Leonis C. Malburg and Thomas A. Ybarra to serve
as Trustees on the Board of Library Trustees for a term of three

(3) years as hereinabove recited.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of June, 1991.
