A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON ESTABLISHING A PERFECT
ATTENDANCE INCENTIVE PROGRAM AND TO
AUTHORI ZE THE SELECTION OF AWARDS BY
QUALIFIED EMPLOYEES

WHEREAS, the City Council previously, on February 19,
6 1991, announced its intention to create a perfect attendance
7 program wherein each employee with perfect attendance for a
8 minimum of two years would be authorized to select one award
9 from the current Robbins Company brochures C-2 through C-15
10 (corresponding to that employee's years of perfect attendance);
11 and
12 WHEREAS, through the creation of this program, the City
13 Council recognizes the value to the City of Vernon of employees
14 who strive to be on the job every day.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
16 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the city of Vernon
18 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
19 hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2:
That each year, at the beginning of the
21 month following the anniversary of each employee attaining a
22
number of years
of
perfect
attendance of two years or
23 greater, each such employee may select one award from whichever
24 current Robbins Company incentive award brochure (numbered C-2
25 through C-15) corresponds to that employee's number of years of
26 perfect attendance, which award will be purchased by the City
27 and presented to the employee at the second City Council meeting
28 of that month.

SECTION 3: That the current Robbins Company incentive
award brochures C-2 through C-15 have been submitted to the city

council concurrently herewith and are hereby approved for awards
4
corresponding to the same number of years of perfect attendance
5
of each brochure.
Said brochures shall be
as the number,
6
maintained in the Personnel Office.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the city of Vernon shall
8
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of July, 1991.
