2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
3 THE EXECUTION OF A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT FOR PREPARATION OF A PROPOSAL TO
4 AMEND THE VERNON GENERAL PLAN BY AND
BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON AND
5 COTTON/BELAND/ASSOCIATES, INC.
6 WHEREAS, the City of Vernon wishes to amend the Vernon
7 General Plan; and
8 WHEREAS, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, City Administrator/City
9 Clerk has recommended by letter dated August 1, 1991, that the
10 City of Vernon retain the services of cotton/Beland/Associates,
11 Inc. to prepare a proposal to amend the Vernon General Plan; and
12
WHEREAS, the city Council of the City of Vernon has
13 determined that it is in the best interests of the city of
14 Vernon to enter into a Professional Services Agreement for
15 preparing such proposal to amend the Vernon General Plan with
16 Cotton/Beland/Associates, Inc.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
18 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The city Council of the City of Vernon
20 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
21 hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: The City council of the City of Vernon
23 hereby approves the Professional Services Agreement, a copy of
24 which has been presented to the city Council concurrently with
25 this resolution and the City Council hereby orders said
26 Agreement to be received and filed by the City Clerk.

SECTION 3: The City Council of the city of Vernon
28 hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said

Agreement for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
