RESOLUTION NO. 5976
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF THE AGREEMENT FOR SPECIAL
SERVICES BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON
AND THE LAW FIRM OF LIEBERT, CASSIDY &
FRIERSON
WHEREAS, the law firm of Liebert, cassidy & Frierson
specializes in providing advice to public agencies regarding
employment relations matters; and
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon, together with other cities
in Los Angeles County, entered into an agreement with Liebert,
cassidy & Frierson for the provision of such advice and the
conduct of training sessions with respect to such matters during
1990-1991; and
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon desires to obtain the
services of Liebert, cassidy & Frierson regarding employment
relations matters during 1991-1992; and
WHEREAS, an Agreement for special Services has been
submitted to the City Council of the City of Vernon concurrently
with this resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the city of Vernon
hereby approves the Agreement for special Services, a copy of
which has been presented to the city Council concurrently with
1 this resolution and the City Council hereby orders said
2 Agreement to be received and filed by the city Clerk.

SECTION 3: The City council of the city of Vernon
4 hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said
5 Agreement for, and on behalf of, the city of Vernon.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
7 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
8 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
9 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of August, 1991.

I, BRUCE V. MALKENHORST, City Clerk of the City of
Vernon, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution, being
Resolution No. 5976, was duly adopted by the city Council of the
City of Vernon at a regular meeting of the City Council duly
held on Tuesday, August 20, 1991, and thereafter was duly signed
by the Mayor of the City of Vernon.
