RESOLUTION NO. 5979
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.
5950 TO INCLUDE POLICE OFFICERS AND
SERGEANTS IN THE PERFECT ATTENDANCE
INCENTIVE PROGRAM ESTABLISHED BY THAT
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City Council previously, on July 2, 1991,
passed Resolution No. 5950 to create a perfect attendance
program wherein each employee with perfect attendance for a
minimum of two years would be authorized to select one award
from the current Robbins Company brochures C-2 through C-1S
(corresponding to that employee's years of perfect attendance);
and
WHEREAS, through the creation of this program, the City
Council recognized the value to the City of Vernon of employees
who strive to be on the job every day; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to make this program
available specifically to police officers and sergeants.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2:
That Resolution No. 5950 is amended to
insert a new SECTION 4, which reads as follows:
"That this resolution includes police officers
and sergeants who attain a number of years of
perfect attendance of two years or greater."

SE~ION 3: That Resolution No. 5950 is amended to re-
2 number the former SECTION 4 as a new SECTION 5.

SECTION 4: The city Clerk of the city of Vernon shall
4 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
5 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
6 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of August, 1991.
