RESOLUTION NO. 6009
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF SOUTH
COAST ENVIRONMENTAL COMPANY FOR AIR
TOXICS HOT SPOTS AIR EMISSIONS SOURCE
TESTING IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO.
8201 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AND APPROVING
THE EXECUTION OF SAID CONTRACT
WHEREAS, Contract No. 8.201 of the city of Vernon was
approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon pursuant to
Resolution No. 5992, and sealed bids were opened on October 29,
1991; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Kenneth J.
DeDario, Director of Light and Power, who has reported to the
City Council under the date of November 5, 1991, recommending
that Contract No. 8201 for Air Toxics Hot spots Air Emissions
Source Testing be executed with south Coast Environmental
Company on the basis of its bid in the sum of Fifty Two Thousand
Dollars and No Cents ($52,000.00), being the lowest responsible
bid meeting the contract requirements.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY AS VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2:
The City council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award Contract No. 8.201 to South Coast Environmental
Company, in accordance with the recommendation of Kenneth J.
DeDario, Director of Light and Power, and authorizes the Mayor
to execute said Contract on behalf of the City.

SECTION 3:
All other bids are rejected subject to
execution of the contract and the ci ty Treasurer is hereby
directed to return to unsuccessful bidders any cashier or
certified checks deposited with said bids upon the receipt of an
executed contract from South Coast Environmental Company
accompanied by all required bonds and certificates.
SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of November, 1991.
