A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE
FOR REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF VERNON AND SETTING THE TIME
AND PLACE OF MEETINGS FOR COMMITTEES AND
COMMISSIONS OF THE CITY OF VERNON

WHEREAS, the city Council of the City of Vernon wishes
to change the time for such meetings of the City Council and for

meetings of committees and commissions of the City of Vernon.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the city of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: citv Council. The regular meetings of the
City Council of the city of Vernon shall be held in the city
Council Chamber at the City Hall located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue
in the City of Vernon, California on the first (1st) and third
(3rd) Tuesday of each month at the hour of 5:00 p.m. If said
regular meetings are scheduled on a recognized holiday, said
meetings shall then take place on the next day thereafter, at
the same time and place.
SECTION 3: Police and Fire Commission. The regular
meetings of the Police and Fire Commissioners of the City of
Vernon shall be held in the City Council Chamber at the above-
described loc~tion on the first (1st) Tuesday of each month at
the hour of 4:30 p.m. and the third (3rd) Tuesday of each month
at the hour of 4:45 p.m. If said regular meetings are scheduled
on a recognized holiday, said meetings shall then take place

on the next day thereafter, at the same time and place.
SECTION 4: Board of Library Trustee. The regular
meeting of the Board of Library Trustees of the City of Vernon
shall be held in the City Council Chamber at the above-described
location on the first (1st) Tuesday of each month at the hour of
4:45 p.m. If said regular meeting is scheduled on a recognized
holiday, said meeting shall then take place on the next day
thereafter, at the same time and place.
SECTION 5: Personnel Committee. The regular meetings
of the Personnel Committee of the City of Vernon shall be held
in the City Council Chamber at the above-described location on
the Monday preceding the first (1st) and second (2nd) regularly
scheduled City council meetings of every month at the hour of
5:00 p.m. If said regular meetings are scheduled on a
recognized holiday, said meetings shall then take place on the
next day thereafter, at the same time and place.
SECTION 6: Finance Committee. The regular meeting of
the Finance Committee of the City of Vernon shall be held in the
City Council Chamber at the above-described location on the
second (2nd) Tuesday of each month at the hour of 5:00 p.m. If
said regular meeting is scheduled on a recognized holiday, said
meeting shall then take place on the next day thereafter, at the
same time and place.

SECTION 7: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
2 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
3 thereafter the same shall be in full "force and effect.

Resolution No. 6032, was duly adopted by the city Council of the
City of Vernon at a regular meeting of the city council duly
held on Tuesday, Januarv 7. 1992. and thereafter was duly signed
by the Mayor of the City of Vernon.
