A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE
FOR REGULAR MEETINGS OF COMMITTEES AND
COMMISSIONS OF THE CITY OF VERNON

WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Vernon adopted
Ordinance No. 1006 on February 4, 1992, which amended the Code
of the City of Vernon, California, 1959 respecting the time and

place of City Council meetings and other meetings of committees
8
and commissions of the City of Vernon; and
9
WHEREAS, in accordance with sections 2.5-4 and 2.5-5 of
the Code of the City of Vernon, California, 1959 the time and
place of regular meetings of committees or commissions of the
City of Vernon shall be established by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Vernon wishes
to establish the time and place of regular meetings of
committees and commissions of the city of Vernon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The city Council of the city of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained

hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: Police and Fire Commission. The regular
meetings of the Police and Fire Commissioners of the City of
Vernon shall be held in the City Council Chamber at the above-
described location on the first (1st) Tuesday of each month at

the hour of 4:30 p.m. and the third (3rd) Tuesday of each month
26
at the hour of 4:45 p.m. If said regular meetings are scheduled
27
on a recognized holiday, said meetings shall then take place

on the next day thereafter, at the same time and place.
SECTION 3: Board of Library Trustee. The regular
meeting of the Board of Library Trustees of the City of Vernon
shall be held in the City Council Chamber at the above-described
location on the first (1st) Tuesday of each month at the hour of
4:45 p.m. If said regular meeting is scheduled on a recognized
holiday, said meeting shall then take place on the next day
thereafter, at the same time and place.
SECTION 4: Personnel Committee. The regular meetings
of the Personnel Committee of the city of Vernon shall be held
in the City Council Chamber at the above-described location on
the Monday preceding the first (1st) and second (2nd) regularly
scheduled City Council meetings of every month at the hour of
5:00 p.m. If said regular meetings are scheduled on a
recognized holiday, said meetings shall then take place on the
next day thereafter, at the same time and place.
SECTION 5: Finance Committee. The regular meeting of
the Finance Committee of the City of Vernon shall be held in the
City Council Chamber at the above-described location on the
second (2nd) Tuesday of each month at the hour of 5:00 p.m. If
said regular meeting is scheduled on a recognized holiday, said
meeting shall then take place on the next day thereafter, at the
same time and place.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
2 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
3 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
4 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of February, 1992.
