A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT,
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA JOINT POLE AGREEMENT,
PROVIDING FOR THE JOINT OWNERSHIP AND
OCCUPANCY OF PUBLIC UTILITY POLES IN THE STATE
OF CALIFORNIA AND ELSEWHERE

WHEREAS, the City of Vernon has heretofore entered into
8 a Southern California Joint Pole Agreement on January 1, 1988 among
9 the members of the Southern California Joint Pole Committee,
10 relating to the joint ownership and occupancy of public utility
11 poles in the State of California and elsewhere; and
12
WHEREAS, a First Amendment to Agreement, Southern
13 California Joint Pole Agreement,
has been submitted for
14 consideration by the City of Vernon and its approval has been
15 recommended by the Director of Light and Power; and
16
WHEREAS, said Amendment will allow new members to join
17 said Committee without requiring the original Agreement to be
18 amended each time.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
20 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the city of Vernon hereby
22 finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are
23 true and correct.

SECTION 2: The city Council of the City of Vernon hereby
25 approves the First Amendment to Agreement, Southern California
26 Joint Pole Agreement, a copy of which has been presented to the
27 City Council concurrently with this resolution, and the City
28 Council hereby orders said Amendment to be received and filed by
the City Clerk.

SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
2 authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said Amendment
3 for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
5 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
6 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of June, 1992.
