A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO
AGREEMENT FOR CONTRACTUAL SERVICES BY AND
BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON AND LEWIS R.

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5719 was approved by the City
7
Council of the City of Vernon on February 20, 1990, approving
and authorizing the execution of an Agreement for Contractual
8
Services ("Agreement") dated February 20, 1990, by and between
9
the City of Vernon and Lewis R. Adams; and
10

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5874 was approved by the City
Council of the City of Vernon on January 15, 1991, approving and
authorizing the execution of an Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement
extending the term of the Agreement from January 1, 1991 to June
30, 1991; and

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5974 was approved by the City
Council of the City of Vernon on August 20, 1991, approving and
authorizing the execution of an Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement

extending the term of the Agreement from July 1, 1991 to June
30, 1992; and

WHEREAS, the City of Vernon and Lewis R. Adams desire
to amend said Agreement to extend the term of the Agreement from
22

July 1, 1992 to June 30, 1993.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon

hereby finds and determines that the reci tals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon

hereby approves Amendment No. 3 to the Agreement for Contractual
3
Services, a copy of which has been presented to the City Council
4
concurrently with this resolution and the City Council hereby
5
6
orders said Amendment to be received and filed by the City
Clerk.

SECTION 3:
The city Council of the City of Vernon
8
hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said
9
Amendment for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
10
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
11
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
12
13
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

5 THIS AMENDMENT NO. 3 is made and entered into this 16th
day of June 1992

BY AND BETWEEN
TijE CITY OF VERNON, a Municipal
Corporation, hereinafter referred
to as ".CITY",

AND
LEWIS R. ADAMS, an.. individual,
hereinafter referred to as
"CONTRACTOR".

WI T N E S S ET H:

WHEREAS, CITY and CONTRACTOR entered into. an Agreement
13 for Contractual services on February 20, 1990, which provided
14 for expiration on December 31, 1990; and
15 WHEREAS, CITY and CONTRACTOR entered into anAIDendment
16 No.1 to the Agreement For Contractual Services on January.15 ,
17 1991, which provided for an extension of said Agreement through
18 and including June 30, 1991; and
19 WHEREAS, CITY and CONTRACTOR entered into an Amendment
20 No. 2 to the Agreement For Contractual Services on August.. 20,
21 1991, which provided for an extension of said Agreement through
22 and including June 30, 1992; and
23 WHEREAS, CITY and CONTRACTOR desire to extend said
24 Agreement through and including June 30, 1993.
25 NOW, THEREFORE, FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION OF THE MUTUAL
26 PROMISES, COVENANTS AND CONDITIONS HEREIN CONTAINED, IT IS
27 MUTUALLY AGREED BY AND BETWEEN THE PARTIES HERETO TO AMEND THE
28 AGREEMENT AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
section 3 of said Agreement entitled Term
3 shall be amended as follows:

3. TERM

The term of this agreement shall be from July 1,1992
6 through and including June 30, 1993. The term of this agreement
7 may be extended only by written amendment to this agreement duly
8 executed by both parties.

SECTION 2:
Section 4 of said Agreement entitled Work
10 Schedule shall be amended as follows:

4. WORK SCHEDULE
CONTRACTOR shall work on an as needed basis. and each
13 CONTRACTOR work day shall consist of hours mutually agreed to
14 between CONTRACTOR and the City Administrator.

SECTION 3:
In all other respects the terms and
16 conditions of the Agreement For Contractual Servicesshal1 be
17 renewed in its entirety.
