1 RESOLUTION NO. 6127
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING A "LOT LINE ADJUSTMENT"
3 REQUESTED BY RICHARD AND ZOLTEN FRIEDMAN AND
CATELLUS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

5 WHEREAS, Richard and Zolten Friedman are the
6 owners of a parcel of land (parcell) located at 4717
7 District Boulevard in the City of Vernon, and Catellus
8 Development Corporation is the owner of a parcel of land
9 (parcel 2) located at 4707 District Boulevard in the City of
10 Vernon, all as described and shown on the attached Exhibit
11 "A" consisting of four (4) pages which is incorporated
12 herein by this reference as though fully set forth at
13 length; and
14 WHEREAS, Richard and Zolten Friedman and Catellus
15 Development Corporation desire to adjust the common boundary
16 between the two parcels whereby said adjustment will create
17 two new properties as described and shown on the attached
18 Exhibit "B" consisting of five (5) pages which is
19 incorporated herein by this reference as though fully set
20 forth at length; and
21 WHEREAS, Richard and Zolten Friedman and Catellus
22 Development Corporation have applied for a "Lot Line
23 Adjustment" pursuant to Section 66412(d) of the Subdivision
24 Map Act; and
25 WHEREAS, Section 66412(d) of said Act provides an
26 exemption from the Subdivision Map Act requirements as
27 follows:
28 (d) A lot line adjustment between two or more

1 existing adjacent parcels, where the land
2 taken from one parcel is added to an adjacent
3 parcel, and where a greater number of parcels
4 than originally existed is not thereby
5 created, provided the lot line adjustment is
6 approved by the local agency, or advisory
7 council...."
8 and
9 WHEREAS, said "Lot Line Adjustment" was referred
10 to victor H. Vaits, Director of Community Services, who has
11 recommended that said "Lot Line Adjustment" be approved.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
13 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
14 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
15 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
16 hereinabove are true and correct.
17 SECTION 2: The request for a "Lot Line
18 Adjustment" dated July 2, 1992, to adjust the common
19 boundary of the two existing properties being described in
20 the attached Exhibit "A" whereby said adjustment will create
21 two new properties as described in the attached Exhibit "B"
22 is hereby approved in accordance with the recommendation of
23 Victor H. Vaits, Director of Community Services.

1 SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the city of Vernon
2 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and
3 thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
4 effect.

Honorable Members:
Richard.and Zolten Friedman and Catellus Development Corporation are
the owners of two adjoining parcels of land located on the north side
of District Boulevard between Loma Vista Avenue and Gifford Avenue.
They have requested an adjustment of the boundary line between the
parcels which will result in a portion of land being transferred from
the Catellus parcel to the Friedman parcel. This has been reviewed
by the Director of Community Services and the City Attorney, and it
is hereby recommended that the Lot Line Adjustment be approved.
