A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF ENCROACHMENT LICENSE AGREEMENT
NO. 374 BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON
AND VERNON WAREHOUSE COMPANY
WHEREAS, Vernon Warehouse Company has maintained an
crossing, a drainage facility, and an overhead pipe crossing on
8 or over the east-west alley, which intersects Irving street
9 between 37th Street and 38th Street and pursuant to Encroachment
10 License Agreement Nos. 292 A and B, dated May 18, 1965 and July
11 12, 1965 respectively, which have expired and has filed an
12 application for a new encroachment license agreement; and
13 WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized to issue an
14 encroachment license pursuant to Chapter 22, Article VI,
15 Encroachments, of the Code of the City of Vernon which license
16 shall be valid for a period of twenty-five (25) years unless
17 otherwise stated; and
18 WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 5088
19 on February 21, 1984, authorizing fees for encroachment licenses;
20 and
21 WHEREAS, the Director of Community Services has
22 recommended approval of Encroachment License Agreement No. 374.
23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
24 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
25 SECTION 1: The City Council of the city of Vernon
26 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
27 hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
1 hereby approves the Encroachment License Agreement No. 374, a
2 copy of which has been presented to the City Council concurrently
3 with this resolution, and the City Council hereby orders said
4 Agreement to be received and filed by the City Clerk.
5 SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon
6 hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said
7 Agreement for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
8 SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
9 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and

thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of September, 1992.
