RESOLUTION NO. 6188
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON COMMENDING JEROME F. STICKEL FOR HIS MANY
YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, JEROME F. STICKEL has been employed by the City
of Vernon since December 1, 1957; and
WHEREAS, said JEROME F. STICKEL will retire from the
service of the City of Vernon on December 11, 1992; and
WHEREAS, JEROME F. STICKEL was hired by the City of
Vernon as a Firefighter on December 1, 1957; advanced to an Auto
Fireman in the Vernon Fire Department on January 1, 1968; advanced
to Fire Engineer on April 1, 1972; and advanced to Fire Captain on
December 30, 1979; and

WHEREAS, JEROME F. STICKEL was awarded Firefighter of the
Year in 1986 by the Kiwanis Club; and

WHEREAS, JEROME F. STICKEL has faithfully served the city
17
of Vernon for approximately 35 years, and his loss will be deeply
18
19
felt by the City of Vernon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
takes this opportunity to commend JEROME F. STICKEL for his years
23
of devoted service to the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
25
26
wishes JEROME F. STICKEL continued success in whatever endeavors
he may undertake.

SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon

shall certify to the passage of this resolution and present a
certified copy thereof to JEROME F. STICKEL and that thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

SECTION 4: The city Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
