A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON COMMENDING GERALD LOHRKE FOR HIS MANY
YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON

WHEREAS, GERALD LOHRKE has been employed by the City of
Vernon since December 16, 1960; and
7
WHEREAS, said GERALD LOHRKE will retire from the service
of the City of Vernon on December 11, 1992; and
8
WHEREAS, GERALD LOHRKE was hired by the City of Vernon as
a Firefighter on December 16, 1960 and advanced to Fire Engineer
on May 29 1983; and
WHEREAS, GERALD LOHRKE was awarded Firefighter of the
Year in 1989 by the Kiwanis Club; and
WHEREAS, GERALD LOHRKE has faithfully served the City of
Vernon for approximately 32 years, and his loss will be deeply
felt by the City of Vernon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
takes this opportunity to commend GERALD LOHRKE for his years of
devoted service to the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon

wishes GERALD LOHRKE continued success in whatever endeavors he
24
may undertake.

SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution and present a
certified copy thereof to GERALD LOHRKE and that thereupon and

thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
